Agartala, June 10, 2026: The Tripura Government has appointed senior IAS officer Shantanu as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), marking a significant administrative reshuffle in the state.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department, Shantanu, a 1997-batch IAS officer of the Tripura cadre, has been repatriated from central deputation and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government of Tripura in the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) at Level 15 of the Pay Matrix.

Alongside his responsibilities as Principal Secretary, the officer has been entrusted with additional charge of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. He will also serve as the CEO of the TTAADC, a key institution responsible for governance and development initiatives in the tribal areas of the state.

The notification stated that Raval Hemendra Kumar, who had been holding the additional charge of TTAADC CEO, will be relieved of the responsibility after Shantanu formally assumes office. The government also relieved K. Sasikumar from the charge of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department as part of the latest administrative changes.

Officials said the appointments are aimed at ensuring effective administration and strengthening governance across departments. The order, issued in the interest of public service, came into force with immediate effect.

The move brings an experienced officer back to the state administration and places him in charge of key portfolios, including tribal administration and public distribution-related affairs, both of which play an important role in Tripura’s governance framework.
