Agartala, May 07, 2026: The Postive Barta Foundation has formally approached the District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura seeking administrative sanction and support for organizing the “TSMCH Digital Antyodaya Divas & Healthcare Innovation Fest 2026” at the Tripura Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital (TSMCH) campus on September 25.

The proposed day-long programme, scheduled from 10 AM to 9 PM, is being planned in observance of the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and aims to promote the philosophy of Antyodaya through grassroots healthcare initiatives and technological innovation.

In a letter submitted to the district administration, Malay Pit, President of the Positive Barta Foundation and Convenor of the organising committee, stated that the initiative would focus on affordable healthcare, digital empowerment, women-led healthcare participation and youth engagement.

Among the major highlights of the proposed event are live demonstrations of AI-assisted telemedicine services intended for remote areas of Tripura, the launch of a “₹10 OPD” healthcare initiative, and the induction of trained “AI Maa” digital healthcare assistants from rural Self-Help Groups.

The organisers have also proposed innovation exhibitions by students and cultural performances showcasing local heritage and national values. Around 3,000 participants, including SHG women, students, healthcare workers and citizens, are expected to attend the programme.

The Foundation assured the administration that all hospital emergency, indoor and outpatient services would remain fully functional during the event through a rotational duty roster for medical staff. It also stated that the programme would be funded through CSR contributions and voluntary sponsorships.

The organisers further assured that crowd management and discipline would be maintained with the support of TSMCH security personnel, NCC/NSS cadets and volunteers.

Seeking administrative permission and a No Objection Certificate (NOC), the Foundation also requested support from the district administration for law and order, traffic regulation and fire safety arrangements during the event.
