Agartala, November 04, 2025: West Tripura Lok Sabha MP and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday announced that he held a detailed and constructive discussion with Rajesh Malik, Chief Executive Officer of the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), to expedite the completion of three key ropeway projects in Tripura.

The proposed ropeways include routes from Maharani to Chabimura, Udaipur Railway Station to Tripurasundari Temple, and Tripurasundari Temple to Chabimura. Deb said NHLML’s technical team will soon visit the state to accelerate implementation work.

Highlighting the significance of these projects, Deb said the ropeways have long been a public aspiration in Tripura and, once completed, will serve as a major boost to tourism, improve connectivity, and generate local employment opportunities.

“These ropeway projects will play a pivotal role in unlocking Tripura’s tourism potential and creating new avenues for income and livelihoods,” he said.
