Agartala, June 04, 2026: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 exercise in Gangtok District has made significant progress, with a cumulative total of 56,980 Enumeration Forms (EFs) distributed by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) through door-to-door visits as of Day Six.
According to information released by the district administration, the six-day outreach campaign has covered 46.61 per cent of the district’s total electorate. Gangtok District currently has 1,22,240 registered electors, and the ongoing exercise aims to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the electoral roll ahead of the revision process.

The constituency-wise distribution of Enumeration Forms till June 4 shows that 24-Martam-Rumtek recorded the highest number with 11,623 forms distributed, followed by 16-Tumen-Lingi with 9,590 forms. 23-Shyari received 7,640 forms, while 17-Khamdong-Singtam accounted for 7,104 forms. A total of 5,568 forms were distributed in 25-Upper Tadong, 5,132 forms in 27-Gangtok, and 4,783 forms in 26-Arithang. Meanwhile, 28-Upper Burtuk recorded 4,392 forms distributed, while 32-Sangha registered 1,148 forms.

Officials stated that the distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms through house-to-house visits by BLOs will continue until June 28, 2026, ensuring that all eligible electors are covered under the revision exercise.

The Special Intensive Revision is a crucial electoral process aimed at updating voter records and strengthening the integrity of the electoral roll across the district.
