Arunachal: ABK, AdiSU Delegation Calls On CM Khandu; Seek AIIMS-Like Institute, Vet College In Pasighat

Itanagar, May 14: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday held a productive meeting with a delegation of Adi Bane Kebang (ABK), Adi Bane Kebang Youth Wing (ABKYW), and newly elected Adi Students’ Union (AdiSU) members to discuss strengthening education and healthcare in Eastern Arunachal.

The delegation, led by ABK President Tanon Tatak, was joined by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Ojing Tasing, MP Tapir Gao, Advisor (Agri & Allied) Er. Talem Taboh, Advisor to CM Alo Libang and MLAs Puinnyo Apum, Er. Tapi Darang and Oken Tayeng.

During the meeting, members pressed for the establishment of an AIIMS-like Medical College and Institute at Pasighat, citing its strategic location and connectivity as ideal for serving the wider population of Eastern Arunachal and adjoining areas. They also proposed setting up a Veterinary College at Pasighat and launching a B.Ed programme at Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat.
