In a joint operation, Assam Rifles along with Champhai Police recovered 32.8 grams of heroin (No. 4) valued at approximately ₹24.60 lakh from the Zote area in Champhai district.

During the operation, one individual was apprehended in connection with the seizure. The confiscated narcotics and the detained person were later handed over to the Excise and Narcotics Department, Champhai, for further legal proceedings and investigation.

Officials stated that the operation was part of ongoing efforts by security forces and local police to curb drug trafficking activities in the region.
