Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday paid tribute to late Gopinath Bordoloi and said the veteran leader had dedicated his life to the development of Assam.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the government was committed to carrying forward Bordoloi’s vision for the progress of the state.

Sarma also announced that the first Cabinet meeting of the new government will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday. He further said that the upcoming session of the Assam Legislative Assembly will commence on May 21.
