Guwahati, June 17: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the rescheduled NEET-UG examination, set to take place on June 21. Stressing the importance of transparency and fairness, Sarma directed officials to ensure that the medical entrance test is conducted in a free, fair, and secure manner.
He noted that stringent measures have been introduced to prevent irregularities and safeguard the integrity of the examination process. “Assam has always taken strict measures to ensure there are no loopholes in the entire process,” the chief minister stated in a social media post after the meeting.
The review comes amid heightened scrutiny of examination protocols nationwide, with Assam reiterating its commitment to maintaining credibility and public trust in the conduct of the NEET-UG re-exam.
