The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast active weather conditions over Nagaland in the coming days, with widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds expected across the state.

According to the latest weather bulletin issued on April 24, Nagaland is likely to experience widespread rainfall activity, with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall between April 27 and April 30.

The IMD has also warned of thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds, with speeds ranging between 50 and 60 kmph and gusting up to 70 kmph in parts of the region during this period. Hailstorm activity is also possible in isolated areas.

The forecast indicates that the ongoing pre-monsoon conditions may lead to sudden changes in weather, including intense rainfall spells and strong winds over short durations.

These conditions may impact transportation and outdoor activities in several areas. Heavy rainfall could lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas, while strong winds and thunderstorms may disrupt road travel and local connectivity.

The IMD has advised monitoring of local weather updates as conditions may change rapidly during this period.
