Shillong, April 10: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Friday felicitated 40 meritorious students from the Khasi Hills and Jaintia Hills districts for their performance in the SSLC examinations, presenting them cash awards under the Chief Minister’s Special Grant.
The felicitation programme was held in Shillong in Meghalaya. The students were recognised for their academic achievements in what the Chief Minister described as a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at encouraging academic excellence.
Sangma said the government plans to continue the programme as an annual initiative to support and recognise student achievements. He also interacted with the students during the event and listened to their experiences.
He further stated that the students’ performances reflect positively on the future of the state and reaffirmed continued support for student development initiatives.
