Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has condemned the attack on church leaders who were travelling on an official and spiritual mission in Manipur.

He described the violence against unarmed civilians as unacceptable and disturbing. The Deputy Chief Minister prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured and extended condolences to the bereaved families as well as the wider Thadou community.

Patton also urged the authorities to conduct a fair and timely investigation to identify and bring those responsible to justice. He further appealed to all communities in the region to maintain peace and harmony.
