Shillong, April 17: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Friday inaugurated the ₹3 crore Dalu Block Integrated Development Complex in West Garo Hills, marking a significant step toward strengthening decentralized governance in the state.

Accompanied by Minister Brening A. Sangma, the Chief Minister highlighted Dalu’s historical importance since its establishment in 1954 and emphasized that the new one-stop facility is designed to replace outdated infrastructure with modern systems for efficient grassroots service delivery.
The project is expected to benefit more than 30,000 residents across 12,000 households, reflecting Meghalaya’s expansion to 56 administrative blocks.

During the event, Minister Brening A. Sangma urged citizens to actively utilize government schemes for economic upliftment, positioning the new complex as a central hub for administrative services and livelihood development in the region.
