The third edition of the Nagaland Potato Festival 2026 was held today at Jakhama Village Ground, highlighting the growing agri-trade potential of potato cultivation in the state.
The festival was inaugurated by Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, who emphasized that the event is not only a celebration of potatoes but also of the farmers, the land and the expanding opportunities within Nagaland’s agricultural sector.

The festival featured a variety of stalls showcasing local potato products and agricultural innovations, offering visitors a glimpse into the diverse possibilities of potato-based trade and cultivation.
Organisers noted that the event aims to encourage farmers and entrepreneurs to explore new avenues in agri-business, while also strengthening community ties through shared cultural and agricultural heritage.
