Agartala, April 17, 2026: The Directorate of Skill Development is currently conducting a Solar PV Installation Training Programme at Viveknagar ITI under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 scheme, aimed at equipping youth with industry-relevant skills in the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

The ongoing training programme, focused on the job role of Solar PV Installation, includes comprehensive theory sessions designed to build a strong foundation in solar panel installation, maintenance, and overall renewable energy systems. The initiative seeks to enable trainees to pursue sustainable career opportunities in the green energy domain.

During the course of the programme, officials from the Directorate of Skill Development carried out monitoring visits to assess the progress and quality of training. They interacted directly with trainees, observed practical sessions, and offered guidance to both instructors and participants.

An official from the Directorate stated that the programme is aligned with the government’s broader vision of promoting clean energy while simultaneously enhancing employability among youth. “The training is structured to ensure that candidates not only gain technical knowledge but also develop hands-on expertise required in the solar energy sector. With increasing demand for renewable energy solutions, such skills will open up significant employment opportunities,” the official said.

The official further emphasized that regular monitoring and feedback mechanisms are being implemented to maintain high training standards and improve learning outcomes.
