Agartala, June 01, 2026: The Phase-1 District Level Field Trainers Training on Houselisting and Housing Census (HLO) commenced on Monday at the Mini Conference Hall, Sonar Tari State Guest House. The three-day programme, scheduled from June 1 to June 3, 2026, is designed to prepare district-level trainers for the upcoming Census operations.
The sessions will cover census methodology, data collection procedures, field operations, and strategies to ensure accuracy and quality in enumeration. Trainers are being equipped with the necessary skills and operational guidelines to effectively conduct houselisting and housing census activities.
Speaking at the inauguration, an official of the District Magistrate & Collector of West Tripura district emphasized the importance of the training: “The Census is not just a statistical exercise; it is the foundation of our planning and development. Accuracy in data collection is crucial, and this training ensures that our field trainers are fully prepared to carry out their responsibilities with diligence and precision.”
He further noted that the capacity-building initiative would strengthen the efficiency of census functionaries, ensuring smooth execution of the upcoming national exercise.
Officials expressed confidence that the training will play a pivotal role in achieving reliable and comprehensive census data for the district.
