Agartala, Nov 15: A defamation case has been filed against Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Asish Kumar Saha and senior MLA Sudip Roy Barman for allegedly making false allegations against Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma.

The legal action comes after Roy Barman accused Debbarma and his family of amassing significant wealth through corrupt practices during the state Assembly session in September. A senior lawyer confirmed that Minister Debbarma has filed the case, arguing that the allegations were baseless and intended to harm his reputation.
