Agartala, May 08, 2026: In a proud moment for Tripura, Tarib Ali, an alumnus of the Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS), has secured a specialised clinical position in the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS), reflecting the growing global presence of healthcare professionals from the state.
Tarib is currently serving as an Anaesthetic Practitioner at the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust in England, where he works closely with Consultant Anaesthetists and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and smooth management of surgical procedures.
His journey began at TIPS, where he pursued his paramedical education before gaining valuable clinical experience at Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru and in healthcare institutions in West Bengal. Motivated by his aspiration to work internationally, he undertook the necessary preparations and qualifications required to enter the UK healthcare system.
The process involved obtaining HCPC registration, proving English language proficiency, and facing months of applications and interviews before finally earning a place within the NHS.
Speaking about his achievement, Tarib said that working in the UK was a dream come true and expressed hope that more students from Tripura would pursue opportunities on the international stage through dedication and proper preparation.
His accomplishment has been hailed as an inspiring example for aspiring healthcare professionals in Tripura, showcasing how perseverance, skill and determination can open doors to global opportunities in the medical field.
