Agartala, June 10, 2026: Bringing pride to Tripura with her exceptional academic achievement, Dr. Debalina Baidya has been awarded two prestigious Gold Medals at the 4th Convocation Ceremony of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh.
Dr. Baidya received the University Gold Medal for securing the highest aggregate marks among 231 postgraduate students in the MDS Examination 2025 in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. She was also honoured with the Donor Gold Medal for achieving the highest aggregate marks in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry among the top five students in the MDS Examination 2025.

The prestigious convocation ceremony was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including Ramen Deka, Vishnu Deo Sai and Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, along with other eminent guests.
A native of Rajnagar’s Chabri Chowmuhani in Fatikroy under Unakoti district, Dr. Baidya is the daughter of former Kumarghat Girls Higher Secondary School Headmaster Porimal Baidya and retired Fatikroy Higher Secondary School teacher Khuku Rani Biswas. Her remarkable accomplishment has been widely celebrated in her hometown and across the state.

Congratulating Dr. Baidya on her success, Tripura’s SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das shared a heartfelt message on social media.
