Agartala, May 13, 2026: With financial and technical support from the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission, the Kumarghat BMMU on Tuesday inaugurated three livelihood units under one roof — The Village Kettle Café, Sampanna Vegetables & Fruits, and Sarada Packaging Non-Farm Collectives.
The newly launched enterprises will be managed and operated by women Self-Help Group (SHG) members and their federations promoted under TRLM. The initiative aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities and strengthen rural entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.
Officials said the livelihood units are expected to enhance income-generation activities for rural women while encouraging self-reliance and collective enterprise development in the region.
The initiative also reflects the growing confidence, leadership and economic empowerment of rural women, who are increasingly transforming their aspirations into successful community-based enterprises through organized SHG platforms.
