Agartala, May 15, 2026: In a significant boost to rural employment and skill development in Tripura, the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) has successfully trained and placed 50 rural youths under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), the flagship placement-linked skill development programme of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
The candidates successfully completed a three-month residential Electrician training programme conducted under the DDU-GKY initiative. Following the completion of the training, all 50 trainees received job offers from Motherson Sumi Systems Limited, a leading multinational automotive component manufacturing company based in Bengaluru.
According to officials, the selected candidates will receive a monthly Cost to Company (CTC) of ₹21,680 along with additional benefits including food and accommodation facilities.

The successful placement of all trained candidates marks a major achievement for TRLM in its continued efforts to transform rural youth into skilled professionals and ensure sustainable livelihood opportunities for them through industry-linked training programmes.
The newly recruited youths have now departed for Bengaluru to join their respective jobs, beginning a new chapter towards financial independence and career growth.
TRLM congratulated all the successful candidates and expressed confidence that such initiatives under DDU-GKY would continue to create employment opportunities and empower rural youth across Tripura.
