Itanagar, Apr 9: The 9th edition of the District-Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy for Under-16 boys and girls in football and volleyball commenced yesterday at the SLSA Sports Complex in Chimpu, Itanagar Capital Region.

Teams from Banderdewa, Naharlagun, and Itanagar are competing in the tournament. The winners will advance to the state-level competition, scheduled to be held at Aalo in West Siang district from May 16, 2026.

The event is organised jointly by the District Administration, Itanagar Capital Region, in collaboration with the Department of Sports, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
