A joint operation by the Assam Rifles and Zokhawthar Police led to the recovery of heroin in Mizoram’s Champhai district.

The operation was conducted at General Area Crossing Point-3 in Zokhawthar, where security personnel seized 23 grams of Heroin No-4, valued at approximately ₹17.25 lakh. One person was apprehended during the operation.

The seized narcotics and the apprehended individual have been handed over to Zokhawthar Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
