The Department of Power, Zunheboto, has issued a circular announcing the installation of smart payment meters for all domestic consumers in the district.

According to the notification, the installation will commence after the completion of smart meter deployment in government offices, industries, and commercial establishments. The initiative is being implemented in accordance with Government of India Gazette notifications and directives from the Department of Power.

The public has been urged to extend cooperation during the installation process. The department has also cautioned that any obstruction or disturbance during the exercise by individuals or groups may invite penalties under applicable provisions of the law.

The Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto stated that the circular has been issued for information and for strict compliance by all concerned.
