Tripura: Administration Reviews Post-ADC Poll Situation in Mandwi, Assures Normalcy

Agartala, April 23, 2026: A high-level joint team of the district and police administration visited the Mandwi area of West Tripura to assess the law and order situation following the recent ADC elections.

The team was led by District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, accompanied by Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak and other senior officials. The visit comes in the wake of recent tensions reported from certain pockets after the elections, and in line with directives from Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha to maintain peace and stability.

During the visit, the officials held review meetings at the Mandai Block Office and Mandai Police Station, where they issued necessary instructions to ensure strict vigilance and prompt response to any potential disturbances.

Interacting with administrative personnel and local residents, the District Magistrate stated that the situation is gradually returning to normal. He emphasized that the administration has taken firm steps to prevent any untoward incidents and to restore public confidence.

Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak also reassured that the situation remains under control, with continuous monitoring being carried out. He urged residents not to panic and to cooperate with the authorities.

The joint visit reflects the administration’s proactive approach to maintaining law and order, with coordinated efforts underway to ensure lasting peace and normalcy in the region.
